The insurance program is conducted as a necessary part of other services provided by Mastercard in the course of its business. Aside from fees related to its services provided pursuant to this benefits program, Mastercard does not collect a fee or other remuneration collected for this insurance program directly from Mastercard cardholders.

To be eligible for insurance on your Cash Passport Platinum Mastercard prepaid card, it is necessary to issue the Insurance Ticket before international travel. Make at least one load or reload with any amount on the Cash Passport Platinum Mastercard prepaid card within 90 (ninety) days prior to the start date of the international trip.
It is essential that cardholders issue Insurance Tickets with AIG before the trip, through the website www.aig.com/mastercard or by calling 0800-725-2025, as this document must be presented in the event of a possible occurrence/claim.
The Luggage Insurance Ticket is valid for 12 (twelve) months from the date of issue. If you have a Baggage Insurance Ticket issued for a particular trip and subsequently issue the Baggage Insurance Ticket, valid for 12 (twelve) months, the benefits will not be accumulated in the event of an accident.
If the trip started during the 12 (twelve) months of coverage of the insurance ticket ends after that period, it is essential to issue a new insurance ticket at the end of the first 12 (twelve) months to complement the coverage.
